Finding the Perfect Vendors for Your Destination Wedding
There are SO many outlets online for finding wedding vendors these days, it can be overwhelming for brides! How do you know which ones are actually reputable vendors and which ones just paid to have a listing? And how do you know which ones you can trust when you can't actually meeting them because you live out of town?
Since we live in a destination wedding hot spot here in Florida - St. Augustine, St. Pete, Tampa, Naples, Fort Myers, Sanibel, Sarasota, Amelia Island, Orlando - the list goes on and on - we don't have to look far to find the most talented wedding professionals because they are right here in our own backyard. But for brides-to-be who live in different states and need help finding the best wedding vendors, I thought these insider tips might be helpful! And now that we are expanding into Northeast Florida, we can also help you if you need wedding vendors in Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Atlantic Beach, Fernandina Beach, Orange Park, Amelia Island, Gainesville, Daytona Beach, Palm Coast, Mount Dora, etc.

1. Decide which 5 vendors are most important to you
Each bride/groom is different. Many will not compromise on having an excellent caterer. Tons refuse to have a wedding without a planner. Some would rather spend extra money on a gorgeous floral arrangement. Others wish to have the perfect wedding gown, no matter the price. So first and foremost, make a decision with your partner on which vendors are most important to you, create a list, and budget for these and spend the majority of your time researching them.

If you are on a budget, the best vendors will help you by suggesting some of their less expensive alternatives if you don't have a lot of money to spend but have a vision with a large price tag. For example, TONS of people come into our showroom and fall in love with Vintage Lace. If it is out of their price range, I will suggest our Lace Ivory overlay instead. It is just as beautiful but a little bit less expensive:

Don't forget: We also have our Annual 50% Off Linen Sale coming up in July! Every year we hold a sale for brides on a budget to get beautiful linens such as sequins and roses for half their original price! Read more by clicking the link, or you can always call or e-mail us for more details. But anyway, back to finding your wedding vendors!
2. Do they see your vision and can they make it come to life?
Have you been planning your wedding since you were young? Have you been "pinning" your dream wedding since the beginning of Pinterest time? If you do get a chance to meet up with a vendor, don't be afraid to show them your Pinterest board. Shareable Pinterest boards are really great for brides who are having a destination wedding to communicate their vision with photos. The vendor should be able to see your vision and collaborate with you or your planner to make it become reality. This is something we are proud to be very good at here at Linens by the Sea and U.S. Tent Rental. Our professionals truly have a special way bringing ideas to the table.

3. They might not be at the bridal show you attend
You might be considering visiting Florida to attend a bridal show to find some great vendors. Chances are, you will meet some amazing ones there! But here is an insider secret: a lot of the big vendors don't set up a booth at many bridal shows, if any. We might send a rep to one or two here and there, but chances are you might miss us at a bridal show - so be sure to Google the wedding vendors in the area and take the reviews seriously!
