Today I am going to write about the outdoor farmers markets
that are abundant throughout our beautiful home that we call Sarasota.
Every Saturday morning my wife, my little “nugget” terrier Sammy and I all go to the Sarasota Farmers Market. Well I should rephrase – that’s every Saturday that I'm not fielding phone calls regarding last minute Tent, Table, Chair, Table Cloth requests. J

The first known outdoor farmers market actually originated in Egypt over 5,000 years ago when farmers brought their produce to be sold along the banks of the Nile. Now farmers markets are selling produce & much more all over the world!!
Imagine starting your day to the fresh smell of cut flowers, seasonal vegetables, ground coffee beans (other than Starbucks for once), fresh coconut water, and plenty of breakfast choices!!! What I just described is a Saturday morning at the Sarasota Farmers Market and the allure that draws me there time and time again.
With over 70+ vendors it's hard to not walk away without buying at least a little something. Needless to say whether you live here year-round or you are only in town for a wedding over the weekend I highly recommend you partake in all the treats, sights, and smells one person can handle at the Sarasota Farmers Market!!
Other Farmers Markets in the area include:
Phillippi Farmhouse Market

Old Miakka Farmers Market

Bradenton Farmers Market
