According to a recent article from ABC News, the Pantone color of 2015 is “Marsala,” which was announced in a press release on December 4th, 2014.
Marsala is described as “a naturally robust and earthy wine red.” We have already noticed this color popping up in some recent events. One that comes to mind, was a rehearsal dinner coordinated by NK Productions and catered by Michael’s on East held at the beautiful Ringling Ca d’Zan Mansion. It was a Tuscan inspired dinner featuring rustic farm tables adorned with greenery and fresh fruits. The place card table was dressed in Linens by the Sea’s Lamour Burgundy cloth, which brought out the rich Marsala tone. Another color we love from the Pantone list is Aquamarine, which is the #1 color for the upcoming spring season of 2015. Shades of blue are always perfect for Florida since it’s surrounded by water and sunny skies. This muted pastel color works wonderfully in a vintage theme wedding or event, too. It is a soft, romantic tone that combines well with other pale colors such as peach, mint and ivory. Two linens from Linens by the Sea that fall into this beautiful blue shade are our Shantung Powder Blue and Pintuck Light Blue. These are available in full length cloths, napkins and Chiavari chair pad covers.
Two colors on this list that we find mesh magically together are numbers two and three, Scuba Blue and Lucite Green. These colors also stay popular year in and year out for us on the gulf coast of Florida. Much like the hues you see in pieces of sea glass, these colors make you feel like you’re in a tropical oasis. A recent wedding at the Longboat Key Club Resort used our very fun “Sundance” linen, which has both of these colors, and other cool shades in it. The Perfect Settings helped design the centerpieces and incorporated starfish and other beachy items to pull the overall Longboat Key theme together.
For a more subdued look, you might be a fan of the number five color, Toasted Almond. You cannot go wrong with this classic cream. It’s an excellent choice as a main base color for any event. You can hardly find another complimentary color that won’t look good with Toasted Almond. Blues, pinks, purples, greens, and even black can add a touch of contrast to this delightful hue.
The above lovely shot from Chicago based wedding photographer, Jennifer Jackson (www.jennography.net ) was from a recent rehearsal dinner at a private home on Siesta Key in Sarasota, Florida. They went for an elegant and intimate dinner party right on the water using our Poly Beige linens for a look that blended perfectly with the sandy shoreline. So Staged Events & Rentals set up a beautiful ambiance equipped with wooden benches and cushions on the sand for comfortable and casual seating. Toasted Almond was seen all over this event from the sand to the seating to the table linens. The green sea oats were just the right amount of pop in color for this coastal look.
Lastly, we want to highlight the tenth spot on Pantones list, Glacier Gray. For ultra glamorous celebrations, this color is the way to go. The luxurious fabric and matte tone of our Lamour Platinum linen is almost an exact match to Glacier Gray. We think this color will stick around for what’s hot in event design. In addition to our Lamour Platinum linens, Linens by the Sea and its parent company, U.S. Tent Rental, have a plethora of complimentary items to match this color. Choose from our variety of silver and platinum items including silver chiavari chairs with a Shimmer Crease Platinum chair pad cover, silver rimmed china paired with a silver laquer charger and of course, silver flatware. To dress up the tabletop, you can add one of our Silver Bling runners down the middle of your long banquet or feasting tables. We have recently added custom sequin linens to our line of specialty tablecloths. These are perfect for a table that you would like to highlight at your events, such as a dessert table or a sweetheart table.
This gorgeous wedding coordinated by SRQtees Events at the Sarasota, Florida Ritz Carlton featured our Lamour Platinum cloth with a Silver Bling runner and silver laquer chargers and chiavari chairs. Our ivory chiffon chair sashes were the perfect contrast and added a unique twist to the table set up as a whole.
