Swatches, Swatch Books & Sample Linens

We do offer swatches of most of our linen fabrics. Actual product samples are available for certain items subject to availability. While we do not charge for the normal rental cost of samples, we do recover our shipping expenses by applying our standard shipping charges to all sample orders. Samples are available for single day use only and must be returned on the scheduled return date. Late fees and replacement charges will apply to samples not returned. In addition, we offer swatch books for sale. Contact us for details. While every attempt is made to standardize color shades, it is logistically impossible to guarantee identical color matches due to various dye lot changes from the cloth manufacturers.

Swatch Book Ownership

We offer swatch books for sale for $200. This will be credited back to you after you reach $2,000 in linen orders within the first 6 months of owning the book with a 50% deposit on these orders. Special circumstances may apply.

Swatch Book Borrowing

Quantities are limited and subject to availability.
90 days borrow period.

We require a current credit card to be file with Linens by the Sea when borrowing a swatch book.
Client is responsible for pick-up and return of the swatch book by stopping by the office or client will be charged a shipping fee from Linens by the Sea for delivery/handling/return of the book of $25. This price is subject to change.

If the swatch book is not returned to Linens by the Sea in exactly 90 days, your credit card will be charged for the full $200.

Borrowing can be converted to Swatch Book Ownership.

Sample Linens Policy

Sample linens for displays, tastings, etc. are encouraged at Linens by the Sea.

Sample linens are subject to availability.

Where a large number of samples are required, perhaps for a special showing or tasting, a handling/cleaning fee may apply.

Samples are available for single day use only, and must be returned on the scheduled return date.
Late fees and replacement charges will apply for samples not returned.

LOCAL events business customers:
No charge.
Customer responsible for pick-up and return of linens.
All other LOCAL customers:
Customer responsible for pick-up and return of linens.
U.S. Tent will keep client’s current credit card on file to hold and charge if client does not book a linen order within the next 6 months of the sample order.
If no linen rental order is booked, $10 per sample linen or chair cover and $1 per napkin, sash, chair pad cover and runner is charged to the credit card on file.
If client books with a 50% deposit within 6 months a linen rental order, there is no fee for the samples.
All SHIPPED customers:
Customer only pays for the price of the shipping in advance by credit card. Linens by the Sea established shipping fees apply. See Linen Terms and Policies.
Linens by the Sea will keep this same credit card number on file to hold and charge if client does not book a linen order within the next 6 months of the sample order.

Linens by the Sea sends a duffle bag for you to ship the linens back to us.
Lost linens will be charged full replacement value.
Lost duffle bags will be charged $25 per bag.
All clients are responsible for shipping back the samples in our linen bags.
