This week we are going to talk about Sarasota Wedding Venues. You may think a town like Sarasota is limited when it comes to venues compared to some of the bigger cities/markets in Florida like Tampa & Miami, but you couldn’t be any further from the truth. The Sarasota market and its immediate surrounding cities have some of the most beautiful, historical, romantic venues in the entire country! In no particular order here are some of Linens by the Sea & US Tent Rental favorite venues to work at.
First up is the Powel Crosley Estate: Directly on the bayfront, this is one of the most breathtaking venues in Sarasota. This Mediterranean style mansion has room to host a reception inside or you can have everything outside with a gorgeous lawn big enough to host your ceremony and reception. This venue also comes with an amazing outdoor patio that most Bride’s and Groom’s use as the dance floor. This Powel Crosley is on the National Register of Historic Places, but many of the amenities have been updated to cater to the modern day bride.

The next stop on our list is the John and MableRinglingMuseum of Art & the Ca’ d’Zan Mansion: Created in 1927, the RinglingMuseum is one of the most beautiful & desired locations for weddings in the country. Just like the Powel Crosley Estate the Ca’ d’Zan Mansion is also located on the SarasotaBay. You can have your beautiful reception on the patio overlooking the water or if you need a backup rain plan our 60x70 Twin Peak Pole tent can provide a very elegant atmosphere. The Ringling Museum Courtyard is surrounded by the Museum and overlooking you is the statue of David which provides a very intimate and romantic location.

Our third location is the CharlesRinglingMansion otherwise known around the community as College Hall: College Hall is an integral park of the NewCollege community, but do not let the college atmosphere fool you. This venue is an historical bay front mansion with a lawn big enough to hold a very large Gala or an intimate wedding.

Moving right along is the Bay Preserve at Osprey: Sticking with the Sarasota Bay theme, the Bay Preserve at Osprey offers you the “Old Florida” feel with a 4.3 acre nature preserve. This location also includes a dock, historic boathouse, pavilion, and the gorgeous brick 1931 Burrows-Matson House.

Next stop is the Palmetto Riverside Bed & Breakfast: Besides the beautiful view, rooms, and location, the innkeepers/owners Wim and Mieke Lippens will make you feel right at home during your big weekend! The 1913 residence has been fully restored and is in the “National Register of Historic Places.” Combine the amazing river views in the wrap around Florida Room, the perfectly-manicured lawn, and the stunning sunsets – The Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast should be on your list to check out!

SelbyGardens is next on the list: A top pick in Sarasota, this oasis of lush flowers sits directly on SarasotaBay. Not only do you have the long wedding lawn, but you also have the Pavilion, ChristyPayneMansion, and the Great Room by the Bay. The famous banyan tree is a popular spot for wedding photos, but overall this is an amazing location for a wedding and you truly can not find a better spot for wedding photos.

Last on our list, but certainly not least is the Edson Keith Mansion otherwise known as the Phillippi Mansion: Located in the 60 acre Phillippi Estate Park, the Phillippi Mansion sits right on the shores of Phillippi Creek and is a great central location to downtown Sarasota and Siesta Key. The EdsonKeithMansion is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places and provides an amazing background for a wedding any time of the year.
