Ideas for Fall Entertaining
With the Fall Equinox occurring just last week, now’s the perfect time to consider your plans for all of your upcoming autumn events. Since we’re located in Florida with green lawns year round, we get especially excited about this time of the year and trying to create festive fall experiences the more northern states get to really enjoy.

Enjoy some terrific trend ideas for your September, October or November affairs! Feel free to contact us for more ideas, too! We would be delighted to assist you.
To start us out,
Fall Linens ideas from Linens by the Sea:
Nothing is better than a rich damask tablecloth for fall. It radiates the traditions of a festive holiday dinner. Below are a few of our more popular styles. We have any more in the Nova Swirl collection.
This is Chopin Red, probably the most popular of our damask patterns:
This is Majestic Ivory damask under a cool Moroccan themed fall tent:
And if you’re into a more modern take on fall, we just can’t resist the Waves pattern in Melon. Wow! In fact, this November, we at Linens by the Sea have a super cool fundraiser under a tent we’re providing this linen for as table runners. We are looking forward to sharing the photos with you soon!

Fruits and Veggies:
You can really dress up a table with the fresh produce of fall. Green apples, ornamental squash, burnt orange pumpkins and artichokes are perfect autumn décor strewn across of cheery table top. You could even place them spilling out of a cornucopia or decorative old-fashioned wooden fruit box. Other selections of the season can include bosc pears, pine cones, corn husks, willow branches and acorns.
Sugar and spice and everything nice:
Similar to Fruits and Veggies, think about decorating with glorious fall herbs and spices. This could range from a runner made of purple sage, rosemary and cinnamon sticks. One thing’s for sure. It will smell amazing!

As reported in BizBash, and an idea that we think is a spicy and full of fun:
“Hyatt Regency Orlando offers meeting attendees an opportunity to explore unique food pairings with its new “Spice Market” interactive dining experience. Guests choose from simple grilled items such as shrimp or chicken and then customize the flavor with dozens of options such as herbs, spices, nuts, dried fruit, pickled vegetables, dried chilies, and fresh coconut, all presented at the table. Catering staff can assist guests in creating suitable pairings.”

Decorate with wood!
The upcoming fall is the perfect time to utilize warm tones in décor. The trend to utilize beautiful pieces of wood can be seen in so many cool ways right now. Why don’t you try it for yourself, too!
One of our favorite websites for weddings, www.save-on-crafts.com, has an excellent selection of wooden cake stands. Check out these two examples below.

Man’s Best Friend:
Although it is so touching to include your favorite pooch year round in all of your favorite activities, we are especially seeing dogs as ring bearers in the fall months at many gorgeous weddings. The weather is a little cooler, and this is super nice for your special pup to enjoy! He also won’t be too thirsty in the heat of the summer once the season starts to change towards winter. Fall flowers:
In the autumn as the leaves start to change, we are seeing a new twist on flowers. It’s bringing in the pizzazz of tropical or spring time blooms into the fall forecast. It’s definitely not your regular ol’ mums and sunflowers. Instead, we think it’s fascinating how well the sultry stems of orchids, lilies and birds of paradise appear against the brown/red/orange/bronze tones of the season. This is very evident in the below photograph taken at a recent event. Notice our Linens by the Sea Azalea linen in Brass. The Azalea collection has even more fall finds like Lime/Brown and Fire Orange.
We’d love to hear from you on your fall ideas for upcoming parties and festivals! Have a blast these next few months and share with us some of your photos! We’d be thrilled to feature them in an upcoming blog!
As one last look into fall fun…enjoy the above fall inspired tablecloth in rust satin with aurora tangerine overlay – wow!
