Joy Perez of Linens by the Sea gives us a few wedding planning tips
Okay - Let's make that 4 things I wish I would have done differently, because the first thing would be to have a day-of wedding coordinator! I love to plan events, but I didn't realize how much I needed someone to help me make sure everything went smoothly on my *own* big day. Continue reading for some tips from me!
Also don't forget - not everything will go exactly how you plan it, but your wedding day will still be perfect! So don't stress out, just remember to have fun and enjoy yourself.

1. Rent Table Linens To Match Your Color Palette
Okay, so maybe I am a little biased because I'm in the Linen Rental industry :) But, one of my biggest regrets was not renting linens for my wedding - especially knowing what I know now that I work in the industry. I went with the black house linens that my venue provided because it was free, and I was all about saving money. But black was not in my color palette, and when I look at pictures of my wedding compared to pictures of other gorgeous weddings where the bride used our linens to help make her venue look special and match her theme, I can't help but wish I had gone the "pretty linen route"! I wish I would have known about Linens by the Sea and our Current Promotions when I got married! I am so insistent about this that I even started a new hashtag here at Linens by the Sea for our social media sites: #rentyourweddinglinens

2. Investigate Your Photographer
Again, while I was trying to save money because I paid for my own wedding, I hired a photographer based on price instead of someone that understood my vision. Since I used to work for a modeling agency and I knew all of the great local photographers, my gut told me I really needed one I knew and trusted. These photographers were out of my price range though... So I went with one of the less expensive guys. Needless to say, not only were our wedding pictures mediocre, but I really didn't get any pictures of me with my family, or any of just me in my wedding gown. Those are moments with my family I will never be able to get back. If I could go back, I would have him strictly adhere to a list of photos I wanted him to take.

3. Hire a Cleaning Crew
My sister and sisters-in-law were nice enough to help clean the venue after our wedding reception was over. I wish I could go back and hire a cleaning crew instead! Please, whatever you do, do NOT allow anyone in your wedding party or anyone attending your wedding to do this - no matter how much they insist. This is SO embarrassing thinking about now!
The more fun you have, the messier the wedding reception! :)
