In the past, many couples thought that hiring an event planner was considered a “luxury” and only for the rich or those who were hosting large, extravagant events. Today, however, most couples are including wedding planners in their budget because they understand the value that a wedding planner brings to planning their event. Why would you spend thousands of dollars on an event and not make sure that the event runs as you imagined?

Check out this statistic by The Knot: “According to The Knot Inc., the leading lifestyle media company with the top two wedding websites, theknot.com and theweddingchannel.com, released its 4th annual survey of 19,000 recent US brides married in 2010. When surveyed regarding the planning process and the stress involved, brides spent an average of 11 hours a week planning in the last three months leading up to their wedding. Nearly 50% also found that planning their wedding was more stressful than they expected. Nearly 1 in 3 hired or used an event/wedding planner, with more than half of those brides hiring them for day-of coordination (52%).”

Kimberly Hensley Events is full service boutique specializing in wedding & event planning.
Your wedding is one of the biggest personal events you will ever plan and it is my job to take away the stress of party planning, allowing you to experience all the joy and satisfaction that throwing a flawless event has to offer. With impeccable planning, unique ideas and flawless execution I will ease you through the planning process and present you with the best options for design, venues, vendors and logistics for your special event.

Why did you get into your business of working on weddings and events?

My mom use to throw big Christmas parties and handle all the family events. I love all the preparation and then seeing it all come together. Her knack for planning events rubbed off on me and the rest is history.

What is something you’d like upcoming clients to know about you/your business that they might not realize?

How about something FUN….I have a puggle named Louley. I have a huge fascination with chocolate chip cookies, and I love pink!

What is your best tip?

My best tip…brides are often influenced by family and friends when it comes to how they are planning their wedding. I see it all the time, mom pulling them one way, groom's parents another, so my tip is….it’s YOUR day, make the decisions that YOU want and you are comfortable with. It’s okay to tell everyone back off. ;-)

Do you have a favorite wedding or other special event memory?

All my weddings are wonderful so it’s hard to pick a favorite.

Do you have a favorite venue & if so, why?

Oh…I get asked this all the time. I love love the Palmetto Bed & Breakfast. The house is stunning, the ceremony space in front of the house is gorgeous, and I love the reception space. You can tent it or have dinner and dancing under canteen lights and the stars. Love Love. Love.
