Lora's journey began when she joined her great grandmother in the kitchen in Sicily, Italy, where a passion for culinary arts and hospitality first blossomed. She studied at Johnson and Wales University and also completed the second level wine certificate program through the International Sommelier Guild.
Lora has dedicated a large portion of her time to philanthropy and assisting children & families in need. In 2004, Lora co-founded the Bridges of Light Foundation, an organization which focuses on children in foster care facilities and underprivileged children in Orange County Public Schools. Lora led and inspired all aspects of the non-profit organization – planning, budgeting, financial reporting, resource management, human resources, grant writing and public relations. Through careful planning and successful execution these events raised upwards of $250,000 annually.
In August 2013, Lora launched Overeasy Events, a full service event planning and design company. With the expertise Overeasy Events provides in areas of customer service, budgeting, organization and communication, combined with well-nurtured partner and vendor relationships, a dynamic and capable team produces unique, inspired, unforgettable events.
Her team has over 20+ years of experience planning events. It is a small company and Lora is personally involved with every wedding – whether it is 25 guests or 200!

What is something you’d like brides and grooms to know about you/your business that they might not realize?
Our mission is to transform the ordinary to extraordinary – to provide a stress-free, fun, event planning experience while producing an event that meets the client’s goals, exceeds the clients expectations, and makes those who didn’t attend wish they had.
What is your best tip for the big day?
Wake up on your wedding day and promise not to freak out! Take a quiet moment to yourself. Remember, you hired a wedding planner and we take on all the responsibilities. You need to enjoy every moment of this special time with the person of your dreams. Be worry free, stress free and most importantly Have Fun!
What is a favorite trend you’re seeing?
I love the over the top décor – including the elaborate entrances and floral arches.
Bringing in hanging centerpieces and lanterns or string lights to highlight important guest tables or uniquely designed nook areas in the venue.
Do you have a favorite wedding or wedding memory?
The exchanging of the vows are the most memorable part of anyone’s wedding day. I love to watch the facial expressions during this part of the ceremony, each one being as unique as the couple being married. Always so much joy, sometimes tears or laughter fill the air as the words spoken by the couple are reflections into their love for each other. Personalized wedding vows are always a favorite among all wedding guests as they are a true expressions of the way they wish to relate to each other.
